ROAD PROJECTS
Here are the projects the Ohio Department of Transportation is working on this week in Mahoning and Trumbull counties:
MAHONING COUNTY
U.S. Route 224 bridge over Yellow Creek just east of state Route 170 in Poland is closed until further notice. Detour posted.
Interstate 76 bridge over Lake Milton has two lanes open in both directions, using crossovers to divert traffic to the new eastbound bridge while working on the closed westbound bridge. Completion: Fall 2003.Dearborn Street at Sarah Street, Youngstown, closed for culvert replacement.
U.S. Route 422 from Beck Street to the state Route 711 on-ramps, reduced to one lane each direction until further notice.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Belmont Avenue from Colonial Drive to state Route 304, various daytime lane closures through fall 2003.
State Route 7 at state Route 7/82, various lane restrictions maintained by flaggers until further notice.
State Route 5 in Cortland, one lane of traffic open in each direction until fall 2003. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers between South Mecca Street and South and East Main streets.
State Route 5 and State Route 82 in Warren reduced to one lane in each direction between State Route 45 and Perkins Jones Road until fall of 2003.
State Route 45 in North Bloomfield Township is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from Ashtabula County line to Peck Leach Road during daytime hours until summer of 2003.
State Route 45 over Baughman Creek reduced to one lane until summer 2003.
State Route 46 Niles viaduct over Mahoning River is reduced to one lane in each direction until fall 2003.
State Route 305 reduced to one lane each direction between U.S. Route 422 and state Route 7 until further notice.
U.S. Route 422 from Interstate 80 to the northern Girard city limits reduced to one lane in each direction until further notice.
