Leetonia football
LEETONIA -- School board members are considering provisions for the high school football team when it begins practicing late this summer.
The district is completing a new football field near the new school on Walnut Street.
Plans called for the new field to be ready by the upcoming season, but not for preseason practices, school Treasurer Larry Syverson explained today.
The school board, which met Wednesday, discussed whether to rent a modular locker room to place at the old field, which is also on Walnut Street about half a mile from the new school.
The unit would give players a place to change clothes. The other option would be to have the players change at the new school and walk to the practice field, Syverson said.
