Sure signs that spring is here and warmer weather is coming are the sights and sounds of farmers plowing their fields in preparation for what they hope will be a bountiful harvest. Above, Rachele Martin, 22, works a field rented by her father, Greg Martin, along state Route 46 in Canfield Township. Martin, right, sets the tractor to continue the job. She grew up on a farm and says she has been driving tractors and plowing since she was 13. She said she enjoys the job. Recent dry weather gave area farmers a chance to get their fields turned.
