GIRARD
April 26
Domestic violence: Police arrested a Girard man on Church Hill Road for domestic violence after his girlfriend called 911, alleging he beat her up while they were in the Bob Evans Restaurant parking lot, 5413 Youngstown-Warren Road.
Theft: A man left a Shell True North gas station, 307 S. State St., without paying for $34.42 worth of gasoline.
Assault: A woman in the 1100 block of North Highland Avenue called police after her daughter said a 10-year-old boy hit her in the arm with a rock. The girl had swelling and a small mark in that area.
April 27
Criminal damage: A man in the 900 block of North Avenue reported someone tossed paint on both his vehicles and cracked the windshields.
Theft: A man in the 200 block of South State Street reported a riding lawnmower stolen.
Criminal damage: A man in the 200 block of East Kline Street discovered someone broke several of his lawn lights.
April 28
Arrest: A Powers Avenue man was charged with fleeing and eluding a police officer and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Police alleged he sped through a construction zone on North State Street and led officers on a pursuit after they tried to stop his motorcycle.
Possible criminal damage: An arrow board near North State and Smithsonian streets knocked over and two construction barrels damaged.
Breaking and entering/attempted burglary: Nothing was missing from a tool shed in the 700 block of Trumbull Lot after someone kicked down its door. Also, someone tried to break into a trailer nearby.
Fraud: A man and woman in the 700 block of Elmwood Drive alleged their 27-year-old nephew opened two credit-card accounts in their name and had made two charges totaling $1,009.
LIBERTY
April 22
Theft: A man in the 5300 block of Sampson Drive reported his vehicle broken into and an AM/FM CD player and 18 CDs stolen.
Theft: A woman in the 30 block of Louise Lane reported someone broke into her mother's car and removed a portable CD player, four CDs, a pack of cigarettes and a set of keys.
Theft: A woman in the 4800 block of Logan Arms Drive discovered $200 and two checks missing, one of which was used to pay a $220.11 phone bill.
Criminal damage: A man in the 300 block of Colonial Drive reported two boys threw a rock and damaged part of his satellite dish. He also noticed a lock broken off a fence.
Vandalism: Someone caused about $300 in damage to a door connecting two rooms at the Tally Ho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave.
April 23
Criminal damage: A man in the 3800 block of Orchard Avenue reported someone set one of his garbage cans on fire and broke several eggs on his front porch.
Theft/burglary: A woman in the 4100 block of Logan Gate Road reported money taken from her purse on two occasions, and that someone broke into her apartment the second time.
Arrest: A 33-year-old Niles woman was charged with passing bad checks after an employee at First Place Bank, 600 Gypsy Lane, said she deposited bad checks and empty envelopes into an automatic teller machine several times.
Auto theft: A 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity was stolen from a residence in the 2900 block of Oakland Drive.
Arrest: Police arrested a 26-year-old Clinton, Mich., man on a warrant charging him with burglary.
Theft: A woman in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive reported a wallet, various personal papers and $230 stolen.
April 24
Breaking and entering: Someone smashed a front glass door and broke into Punky's Pit Stop, 6670 Belmont Ave. Twenty cartons of cigarettes were taken.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 100 block of Euclid Boulevard reported someone broke into his garage and removed several power tools, a roto-tiller and two chainsaws.
Attempted auto theft: Someone damaged the steering column to a 1994 Jeep Cherokee parked in the 300 block of Colonial Drive before trying to steal it.
April 25
Criminal damage/drugs: A woman used a car jack handle to break the window to a room at the Days Inn, 1610 Motor Inn Drive. Also, police arrested a 24-year-old Youngstown man on charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of cocaine.
April 26
Domestic violence: A 41-year-old Girard man was charged with domestic violence after his girlfriend alleged he punched her in the stomach.
April 27
Theft: A woman in the 1100 block of Smithsonian Street reported a stereo removed from her vehicle.
April 28
Arrest: A 40-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with passing a false prescription after a pharmacist at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., alleged she submitted a false prescription to obtain Tylenol while she was in the drive-through.
Attempted auto theft/criminal damage: A woman in the 1400 block of Townsend Avenue discovered her vehicle's driver's-side door lock damaged, some wiring cut and its steering column destroyed. Also, a man reported someone used a sharp object to damage his car's passenger-side door.
Theft: A woman in the 600 block of Murray Hill Drive reported a patio chair stolen from her front porch.
Felonious assault: A man in the 3400 block of Breeze Knoll Drive alleged a neighbor used a baseball bat to strike him twice in the face and head during an argument. The victim suffered a possible dislocated or fractured right thumb and had red marks on his face.

April 23
Arrest: A Hubbard woman surrendered to police and was charged with fraud and illegal use of a credit card.
Theft: A woman in the 800 block of Jerry Drive reported someone stole a backhoe from her property.
April 24
Criminal mischief: Someone damaged a door arm to one of the doors at the Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St.
April 25
Arrest: Police arrested a Hubbard man on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court to face a theft charge.
Assault: A man in the 20 block of Orchard Avenue reported a tenant struck him.
Theft: A man in the 500 block of Meadowland Drive reported various items removed from his vehicle.
Criminal mischief: Two residents in the 700 block of Dresden Drive reported someone damaged a pair of outside lights and sprayed shaving cream on part of their front yard.
April 26
Criminal damage: A man in the 400 block of Jones Street reported someone tried to break into his vehicle parked nearby.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 500 block of Dorchester Drive reported someone tossed eggs onto her property.
Criminal mischief: Someone sprayed a vehicle with shaving cream while it was parked in a driveway in the 100 block of Wrenfield Drive.
Assault: An employee at Frankie's Main Street Cafe, 368 N. Main St., reported a fight outside the business.
Theft: A man in the 900 block of Saul Drive reported someone stole his son's bicycle.
April 28
Truck theft: A 1989 Chevrolet cab truck was stolen while it was parked at Caroselli's, 1029 N. Main St.
