Muths honored at reception held on anniversary



XTROUTVILLE, Pa. -- A reception is being held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Lordstown Community Center in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Burnell (Bud) Muth of Troutville, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Invitations for the festivity were extended by the couple's children and their spouses, Rita and Mark McGrail of Lordstown, Don and Denise Muth of Canfield, and Marlene and Gary Zupp of Austintown.
Mr. Muth and the former Margie Reed were united in marriage May 2, 1953, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in DuBois, Pa. They have eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Muth is a homemaker.
A Korean War veteran, Mr. Muth retired in 1985 after 32 years of service with General Motors Corp. in Tonawanda, N.Y., Massena, N.Y., and Lordstown. He was president of United Auto Workers Union in Massena and Lordstown for two terms, and he also served two terms as mayor of Lordstown prior to retiring. He drives a bus for DuBois schools, where he is president of the board of education, and he is also on the school board in Big Run, Pa.
