XYOUNGSTOWN -- Linna Gabrielle Turner, 400 E. LaClede Ave., became the bride of Heriberto Nieves Jr., 204 E. Ravenwood Ave., during a ceremony April 19 at Mount Zion Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jack Pettis officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Linna M. and Larry J. Turner Sr. of the LaClede Avenue address and the son of Miriam and Heriberto Nieves Sr. of the Ravenwood Avenue address.
Later the couple received guests at Covenant Lodge, then left for a honeymoon trip to Cleveland. They live in Austintown.
Pearls adorned the bodice of the bride's strapless, white satin gown, which was accented by bugle beads and rhinestones and styled with a chapel train.
Mrs. Nieves attended Youngstown State University. She is a loan consultant with ACE America's Cash Express.
Mr. Nieves is a mechanical technician with International Plastic Components.
The bride's cousin, Tamica Turner of Youngstown, was honor attendant. She wore a crimson dress, as did the bridesmaids, Anna Rosado of Youngstown, the groom's cousin, and Miriam F. Nieves of Youngstown, his sister. Sarah Nieves of Youngstown, his sister, was flower girl.
Serving as best man was Earl McGary of Warren. Groomsmen were Abismael Nieves of Tampa, Fla., the groom's brother, and Larry Turner Jr. of Youngstown, the bride's brother.
Also participating were Theresa Gilford, the bride's cousin, and Tiffany Mays, both of Youngstown.
