Franklins' 72nd wedding anniversary to be celebrated at dinner party

XYOUNGSTOWN -- The 72nd wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin, 456 Catalina Ave., will be celebrated during a dinner party to be held at 3 p.m. May 10 at their home.
Arrangements for the event are being made by their children, Mary Bell Carr, Lela Easterly, Willie Jean Johnson, Lillie Sanders, Lane Franklin, Joann Franklin, Gussie Franklin and Rhonda Faye Franklin, all of Youngstown.
The couple have 49 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren. Three of their children, Minnie, Buster and Elizabeth Franklin, are deceased.
Mr. Franklin and the former Marie Green were married May 10, 1931, in Montgomery, Ala.
Mrs. Franklin is a homemaker, and her husband retired in 1977 from U.S. Concrete in Diamond. They are members of Reed's Chapel A.M.E. Church.
