COLUMBIANA COUNTY Crestview Middle School wins award from state
COLUMBUS -- The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators announced that Crestview Middle School is a winner in the 2003 Hall of Fame program.
Principal Daniel R. Meta and his staff will be presented the award Nov. 18 at the annual OAESA Professional Conference in Columbus. OAESA will recognize eight schools, seven elementary and one middle.
Quality areas
The finalists were selected from 60 nominations from across the state. The staffs submitted extensive written documentation substantiating the quality of their educational program including the areas of:
UInstructional system goals and objectives, methods and techniques, and evaluation.
U Pupil achievement.
UPupil development, leadership, creativity and self-discipline.
UPersonnel, staff selection process, staff appraisal, staff development, support staff and administration.
USchool management, school finance and initiative, communications, building safety and maintenance.
UCommunity program support/special projects, parents as partners and community input.
The Hall of Fame winning schools were chosen by a committee of principals who reviewed the applications and another team of principals who conducted on-site evaluations of the school.
