JOHN CARROLL UNIVERSITY, Cleveland
Mary Patricia Tringhese Jolivette has been selected by the Department of Sociology faculty as a co-recipient of the Ruth P. Miller Award in Human Service for outstanding undergraduate work in human service. She has also been inducted into the Alpha Kappa Delta international sociology honor society.
Now of Shaker Heights, she is a 1999 graduate of Ursuline High School and the daughter of Tony and Patti Tringhese and granddaughter of Tony and Dora Tringhese and Larry and Kitty Hackett, all of Austintown.
YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY
Nine undergraduate students studying mathematics presented talks on their research at the Mathematical Association of America Ohio Section's Regional Conference in Columbus.
Students who attended are Sarah Grove of Farmdale, Christopher Jones of Hubbard, Joel Lepak of Sharon, Pa., Steve Stanislav of Poland, Ryan Siskind of Willoughby, Rebecca Grove of Farmdale, Maria Salcedo of Boardman, Melissa Marshall of Youngstown and Brett Hudsbeth of Chippewa, Pa.
Twenty-seven students have been inducted into the Order of the Engineer. Inductees accept the Obligation of an Engineer contract.

MOUNT UNION COLLEGE, Alliance
Sophomore business administration major Laura Allcorn of East Palestine and freshman Aaron Tuttle of Cortland participated in the student-directed one-act play "Sorry Wrong Number" at the college. Allcorn is an East Palestine High School graduate; Tuttle is a Champion High School graduate.
Sophomores Megan Collins and Jennifer Ortz of Youngstown, Michelle Marchand of Niles, Amy Rossler of McDonald, Catherine Curran of Canfield and Julie Yanik of Masury have been initiated into the Blue Key honor society that recognizes junior and senior students based on leadership, character, scholarship and service.
BETHANY COLLEGE, Bethany, W.Va.
Amanda Danks of Austintown, a sophomore music and psychology major, received the Richard B. Kenney Freshman Leadership Award for scholarship, leadership, character and service, and was inducted into the Psi Chi psychology honor society. She is the daughter of Paul and Susan Danks.
Rachel Burns of Warren, a sophomore psychology major, was inducted into Psi Chi. She is the daughter of Chris and Nancy Burns.
Katie Lynn Hardie of Youngstown, a junior physical education major, was inducted into the Phi Delta Psi physical education honor society. She is the daughter of Robert and Carol Hardie.
ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
Three local students received scholarships at the university's recent Endowed Scholarship Luncheon. They are public relations major Joseph McRae of Youngstown, awarded the William Randolph Hearst Minority and Thad D. Trautwein scholarships, son of Joseph McRae; accounting major Courtney Pastore of Struthers, awarded the Robert D. and Marjorie Ingmand Memorial and Donald A. Klise scholarships, daughter of James Pastore and Paula Grandy; and early-childhood education major Renee Robertson of Hubbard, awarded the Harvey & amp; Beulah Amstutz, Chrismer/Paller and J. Fredo scholarships, daughter of Ronald and Kathleen Robertson.
