There will be a meeting for parents of prospective academy pupils at 7 p.m. today in Lordstown Middle School.
Applications will close May 15.

Trumbull Arts Academy is an educational program using the performing arts as a primary teaching tool.
Pupils in grades five to seven attend the academy instead of their home school five days each week and use the arts as a tool to learn mathematics, science, English and history.
A certified/licensed classroom teacher integrates the arts into the core curriculum. Professional visiting artists help integrate art, drama, dance and vocal and instrumental music.
Eligibility
To apply, pupils must be in the fourth, fifth or sixth grade in one of the following school districts: Bloomfield-Mespo, Bristol, Champion, Howland, Hubbard Exempted Village, Joseph Badger, LaBrae, Liberty, Lordstown, Maplewood, Mathews, Newton Falls, Niles or Southington.
