April 21
Theft: A man in the 7500 block of Oregon Trail reported his 15-speed bicycle stolen from a carport.
Theft: A man in the 7100 block of Amherst Avenue reported a United Parcel Service package delivered to his residence was stolen.
Theft: A man reported 100 compact discs, four textbooks, a visor hat and a small car light stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at Tinseltown USA, 7401 Market St.
Theft: A woman reported a spare tire cover taken from her car while she was at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: A woman reported another woman drove off with 60 tulips that were placed on the victim's granddaughter's grave site at a cemetery in the 5400 block of Market Street.
Credit-card fraud: A Newton Falls woman reported her credit card was used to make a fraudulent $356 purchase at Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damage: Police discovered a window at a building in the 900 block of Trailwood Drive broken. Also, they noticed a window broken in another building nearby.
Arrest: A 42-year-old Campbell man was charged with theft from Wal-Mart.

Domestic violence: Police charged a 38-year-old Boardman man with domestic violence after his girlfriend alleged he assaulted her.
Criminal damage: Police arrested a 19-year-old Warren man for criminal damaging after a woman in the 4000 block of South Schenley Avenue reported someone broke her vehicle's rear window.
Criminal damage: An employee at a Marine recruiting office in the Southern Park Mall reported someone placed an undetermined white substance on a government-owned vehicle.
Theft: An employee at the Boardman Community Care Center, 5665 South Ave., reported someone took 26 Tylenol tablets from a patient.
Arrest: A 23-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with illegal distribution of cigarettes after police say they saw her sell a pack of cigarettes to an underage person at Wal-Mart.
Vandalism: An employee at Cellular One, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported a customer threw a phone against a wall.
Theft: Police arrested a 49-year-old Youngstown woman for theft after an employee at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, alleged she tried to leave without paying for eight packs of cigarettes.
Criminal mischief: Someone damaged a 24-foot-by-24-foot screen/glass window at a residence in the 40 block of Shields Road.
Theft: A 22-year-old Youngstown man was charged with theft after $100 worth of groceries was stolen from Marc's discount store, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.
Theft: An in-dash cassette player and a six-disc CD changer were stolen from a vehicle belonging to Used Car Connection Inc., 493 Bev Road.

Breaking and entering/theft: A man in the 100 block of Shields Road reported someone broke into his residence through the front door and removed a 36-inch TV, a videocassette recorder, a gold neck chain and between $200 and $300.
Theft: Someone stole a Vindicator newspaper box from in front of the Newport Cafe, 4069 Hillman Way.
Theft: An employee at Forum Health Beeghly Medical Center, 6505 Market St., reported her wallet, necklace charm and $22 in change stolen from a room.
Arrest: Police arrested a 38-year-old Boardman man on one count of failure to appear in court to face a probation violation charge.
Theft: A New Castle, Pa., woman reported her wallet stolen while she was in Boardman.
Burglary: A woman returned to her apartment in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue and discovered a 32-inch TV-VCR, a karaoke machine, two touch lamps, a 19-inch TV-VCR and a DVD player stolen.
April 23
Theft: Police arrested a 35-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after a man in the 4900 block of Grover Drive said the suspect sold a dryer for him, but never paid the victim.
Theft: A spoiler device with a brake light was taken from a vehicle parked in the 50 block of Wildwood Drive.
Forgery: A Youngstown woman alleged her husband forged her name on a document and filed a joint income tax return.
Theft: An employee at Terbo Construction, 8086 Southern Blvd., reported an undetermined number of pallets stolen.
Identity theft: A man in the 5300 block of Linger Place reported someone fraudulently used his identity to open a Visa credit card account.
Vandalism: A man in the 100 block of Stadium Drive reported an interior pole light and an antique bowl broken.
Theft: A vending machine, miscellaneous candy and $20 in change were removed from Pizza Joe's, 6810 Market St.
Criminal damage: A man discovered damage to the underside of his vehicle while it was in a parking lot on Tiffany Boulevard.
Arrest: Police charged a 27-year-old Warren woman with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A female teenager took two pairs of shoelaces and a pair of pants from Payless Shoesource, 48 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Police charged a 47-year-old Youngstown man with theft after five bottles of cologne were stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall. He also was wanted on warrants charging him with failure to appear in court and contempt of court.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 7200 block of Indian Trail reported graffiti scrawled on a boat parked in his driveway.
Theft: Police arrested two East Palestine boys, age 15 and 17, on theft charges after three Sony PlayStation games and a computer were taken from Target.
Arrest: A 17-year-old Boardman boy was charged with allowing underage people to remain in or at a residence while possessing or consuming beer or alcohol. Police alleged several underage people gathered at a residence in the 600 block of Saddlebrook Drive in possession of alcohol.
April 24
Criminal damage: A vehicle's rear window was broken in the 400 block of Brookfield Avenue.
Criminal damage: A man in the 4100 block of Lockwood Boulevard discovered someone used a sharp object to puncture all four of his vehicle's tires.
Theft: A woman reported a vehicle registration and two insurance cards stolen.
Theft: An employee at Wick Motors, 8531 Market St., reported a cellular phone stolen from an office.
Theft: Police arrested a 41-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after $69 worth of clothing was stolen from Value City department store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road. He also was wanted on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court to face a burglary charge.
Theft: A 27-year-old Boardman man was charged with theft after two packs of cigarettes and two cans of chewing tobacco were stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Domestic violence: A 14-year-old Boardman boy was arrested on a domestic violence charge after his grandmother reported being a victim; she also alleged he physically harmed her on two occasions.
Theft: A woman reported a man stole her purse while in the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Arrests: Four Youngstown boys, two age 12 and two age 14, were charged with receiving stolen property and resisting arrest after a stereo-CD player was stolen from Toys "R" Us, 317 Boardman-Poland Road. Police alleged they fled on foot through Boardman Park after being confronted.
Criminal damage/theft: A woman reported someone broke her vehicle's passenger-side window and took 50 CDs while the car was parked in the 7100 block of Tiffany Boulevard.
Auto theft: A 1992 Chevrolet Corsica was stolen in the 7400 block of West Boulevard.
Theft: A woman discovered about $5,000 worth of tools missing from her vehicle in the 1300 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A CD player/radio and 72 CDs were stolen from Kids "R" Us, 317 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police charged a 45-year-old Campbell man with failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest. He also was wanted on warrants charging him with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
April 25
Arrest: Police charged a 43-year-old Boardman woman with receiving stolen property and forgery after a woman in the 200 block of Windwood Drive reported her checkbook and numerous checks stolen.
Auto theft: A 1988 Olds Delta 88 was stolen from a driveway in the 100 block of Homestead Drive.
Criminal damage/theft: A Poland woman reported her vehicle's windshield cracked and rearview mirror broken, as well as a cellular phone stolen, while it was parked in the 6300 block of South Avenue.
Attempted auto theft: Someone tried to steal a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville from a parking lot in the 4700 block of Southern Boulevard.
Attempted auto theft: A woman in the 5500 block of Lemoyne Avenue reported someone tried to take her 1993 Buick Century from her driveway.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to break into Redlich Transmissions, 8091 Market St.
Counterfeit: An employee at a Speedway gas station, 649 E. Midlothian Blvd., reported a customer passed a counterfeit $20 bill.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's rear and front windshields were smashed while it was in a carport in the 400 block of Rockdale Avenue.
Arrest: After stopping a car on Boardman-Canfield Road, police charged a 41-year-old Youngstown woman with receiving stolen property after determining the vehicle was stolen. She also was charged with drug abuse and was cited on charges of driving under a suspended license and having fictitious license plates; she also was wanted on a charge of passing bad checks.
Theft: Police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after $337.50 worth of men's clothing was stolen from Kaufmann's.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's antenna was broken and its trailer hitch cover was bent while it was in the 300 block of Mathews Road.
Theft: A CD player, 15 CDs, a black jacket, a set of golf clubs and possibly tools were removed from a vehicle parked near BW-3 in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A car was broken into while it was parked at Inner Circle Pizza, 1816 Boardman-Poland Road. A laptop computer, various textbooks, a cooler and camera equipment were taken.
Domestic violence: A 22-year-old Struthers man was charged with domestic violence after a family member alleged he hit her.
April 26
Arrest: A 46-year-old Youngstown man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police say they found suspected drug paraphernalia in his car.
Theft: Two gas grills were stolen from Greenwood Market Motor Co., 7871 Market St.
Theft/criminal damage: A CD player was stolen from a vehicle that also had a window shattered in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.
Theft: A desktop computer, a scanning device and a receipt printer were stolen from a storage area at DJZ Clothing Store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A woman in the 4300 block of Chester Drive reported a push mower stolen from her neighbor's garage.
Criminal damage: A Poland woman reported someone damaged a sign posted on a vacant property her family owns.
Theft: A CD player and a dashboard heating and cooling system were removed from a vehicle parked at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Someone stole a hood ornament from a vehicle parked at the Residence Inn, 7396 Tiffany Blvd.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's driver's-side front door handle was damaged and a driver's-side rear door was scratched while it was at the Lockwood House, 7095 Lockwood Blvd.

April 22
Theft: Someone stole a face plate off an AM/FM CD player in a vehicle parked in the 20 block of Poland Manor. A radar detector and leather portfolio were missing from another vehicle.
April 26
Theft: A radar detector and cellular phone were removed from a vehicle in the 100 block of Nesbitt Street.
Vandalism: Someone shot a hole through a window to a residence in the 200 block of Edna Street, possibly with a BB gun.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue reported someone took a radar detector from his wife's car.
Arrest: A 51-year-old Ashtabula man was charged with failure to comply with the orders of a police officer and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Police said he fled in his car after they attempted to pull him over for going through a red light near state Routes 616 and 170.
