AUSTINTOWN -- T.J. Parker hit a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday as the Austintown Fitch High baseball team rallied to beat visiting Mooney, 6-5, in a Steel Valley Conference game.
Dom Modarelli had two hits, including a bases-loaded double in the fifth inning, and Mickey Howley had three hits for the Falcons (9-7, 2-3).
Brian Drummond had two hits, including a homer, and Jeff Hehr had a homer for Mooney (8-7, 3-3).
Boardman 17, E. Liverpool 2
BOARDMAN -- Nate Tacsik, Andy Good and Chris Russo homered for the Spartans (9-8), who scored nine runs in the first inning.
Chaney 15, Rayen 1
YOUNGSTOWN -- Chaney pitcher Rick Hlinka tripled, doubled and earned the victory. He also scored two runs.
Dave Baco had two hits, including a triple, and Tom Enyeart added two hits for the Cowboys (15-2, 3-0 City Series).
Rayen is 0-8, 0-3.
Campbell 7, Wilson 0
STRUTHERS -- Anthony Rossodivita had three hits, including two doubles, and Anthony Zembillas added a triple and a single for Campbell Memorial (9-4-1) at Cene Park.
March Such and Stan Gozur combined for a three-hit shutout.
Canfield 19, Struthers 8
CANFIELD -- Mike Turjanica hit three home runs and had six RBIs for the Cardinals (12-5, 6-2 Metro Athletic Conference).
Mike Pulakos went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs while Frank Turocy went 4-for-4 with a homer, a triple and two RBIs.
Struthers fell to 4-8-1, 2-5.
Mathews 3, Springfield 2
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Anthony Jones hit a two-run single in the top of the seventh as Mathews rallied in an Inter-County League game.
Josh Sponsler and Jones each had two hits for Mathews (10-9, 5-6).
Springfield is 5-9, 5-6.
Western Reserve 14, McDonald 7
MCDONALD -- Kyle Kekic doubled and hit a grand slam in the nine-run fourth for the Blue Devils (10-7, 8-4 ICL).
Also for Western Reserve, Luke Srock had four hits, including a double while Brandon Keck singled three times.
Mark Brown doubled for McDonald, which trailed 10-2 after four innings.
Lowellville 14, Jackson-Milton 13
STRUTHERS -- With no outs in the bottom of the seventh, Dustin Socie singled and stole second for the Rockets (5-10, 3-9 ICL).
Nick Getsy bunted and a throwing error allowed Socie to score the winning run.
Lee Keck doubled for Jackson-Milton which trailed 12-9 after three innings.
Girard 12, LaBrae 11
GIRARD -- Elliott Steverson hit a three-run homer and pitched to one batter in the bottom of the seventh to secure the victory for Girard in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game.
With the bases loaded and one out, Steverson induced a double play to end the game after the Indians (8-7, 5-3) had rallied with four runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Greg Barton went 4-for-4 for Girard. Steverson and Tim Breese each added two hits.
For LaBrae (8-5, 6-4), Brian Howard had three hits and Todd Rowan and Chad Carr each added two hits.
Champion 10, Lakeview 4
CHAMPION -- Joe Hess had three base hits while Kevin Stingel added two singles and a double for the Golden Flashes (12-2, 7-1 TAC).
The Bulldogs are 8-6, 5-4.
Hubbard 8, Liberty 4
LIBERTY -- Fred Battisti homered, Randy Burgett tripled while Jesse Webb, Mike Brown and Joe Lopez had doubles for the Leopards.
Ryan Hallapy doubled for the Eagles (5-7, 5-4 TAC).
Southeast 8, Mogadore 3
RAVENNA -- In a 16-hit attack, Josh Herndon had four doubles for the Pirates.
Southeast led 7-0 after two innings.
