XFraternal Order of Eagles 3298, 1655 Raccoon Road, Austintown, will serve dinners from 4 to 8 p.m. All-you-can-eat fish or four-piece honey-dipped chicken dinners will be $6.95; pasta meals will feature all-you-can-eat spaghetti with two meatballs or rigatoni for $5; and pork chop dinners will be $7.95. XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, bread, and coffee or tea. XHubbard VFW 3767 Auxiliary, 710 W. Liberty St., will hold a fish fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6 for large dinners, baked or fried, and $4.25 for small dinners. XNational Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving a fish buffet and selling pirogi. XSt. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Youngstown, will make boil-in-the-bag sweet cabbage and potato and cheese pirogi. Pickup for walk-ins will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, 3801 Shady Run Road, Youngstown.
XSt. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 2 Friday, based upon availability. The cost is $3.50 a dozen. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.
XTod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. N.W., Warren, will hold its monthly all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Takeouts will be available from 3:30 to 6:30. Residents of the two high-rise buildings on Tod and Buckeye avenues may place advance orders by calling (330) 393-3859, and meals will be delivered. This will be the last fish fry until Oct. 3.
SATURDAY
XCoitsville Presbyterian Church, 91 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will hold an all-you-can eat spaghetti dinner from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for those 4 to 11 and free for those under 3. Carryouts will be available. There also will be a bake sale.
XCortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will hold a "Kentucky Mountain" dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will feature ham, corn bread, creamed chicken on biscuit, green beans, bean soup, sweet potatoes, cobbler and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 5 to 12 and free to children under 5. Proceeds will go toward a mission trip to the Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Ky.
XFirst Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway, Girard, will hold a creamed chicken on biscuit dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals will include vegetable, beverage and dessert, and are priced at $6.50 for adults, $3.25 for children 5 to 12 and free to children under 5.
XGood Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will serve an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Proceeds will go toward Camp Frederick Retreat Center and Good Hope Brick Fund.
XHartford United Methodist Church, 6846 Hartford Road N.E., will hold a roast beef or turkey dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals will also feature dressing, potato, vegetable, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Takeouts will be available. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 12.
XHubbard Kiwanis Club will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon at the K. of C. Hall, 425 N. Main St. Cost is $4, and proceeds will benefit youth programs.
