EVENT Urban League to hold banquet

GIRARD -- The Youngstown Area Urban League will hold its 37th annual Equal Opportunity Banquet Saturday at the Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St.
A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30.
Guest speaker will be George C. Fraser, author of "Success Runs in Our Race; The Complete Guide to Effective Networking in the African-American Community." He also is creator and publisher of the award-winning "SuccessGuide Worldwide: Networking Guide to Black Resources."
Fraser is leading a national initiative to build a $100 million African-American Business Hall of Fame and Museum and a university-based Center for the Advancement of African-American Entrepreneurship.
Background
He is founder and executive producer of an annual PowerNetworking Conference, has served on numerous boards and received awards and citations for community service, including the United Negro College Fund National Volunteer of the Year award. He also was presented the Architects of the Village Award by Allstate Insurance and has served on state and city commissions for Ohio and Cleveland.
Fraser worked for 17 years in management with Procter & amp; Gamble, United Way and Ford Motor Co.
