AWARDS Cancer Society honors area businesses
HOWLAND -- Fifteen businesses were recognized for their charitable contributions by the Mahoning Area American Cancer Society at its annual Excalibur Donor Luncheon at Opus Twenty One.
The Excalibur award, the highest local award available, recognizes donors who contributed $10,000 or more in 2002 in cash, in-kind sponsorships, securities, property or an irrevocable planned gift, said Jo-Ann Crank, executive director of the local American Cancer Society office.
Recognized at the luncheon were: Antenucci, Avalon Lakes Golf Course, B.J. Alan Fireworks, Brodell Medical, Clear Channel Radio of Youngstown, Compco Industries, First Federal of Warren Community Foundation, Forum Health, Humility of Mary Health Partners, Henn Charities, The Home Savings & amp; Loan Co., Horton Electrical Contracting, TMH Foundation, WFMJ-TV 21 and Butler, Wick & amp; Co.
Lilly and Cliff Johnson of Warren, cancer survivors, were the featured speakers. The local American Cancer Society office at 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, serves Columbiana, Trumbull and Mahoning counties.
