Bridges' 50th is celebrated at reception
XBOARDMAN -- A dinner reception was held March 22 at the Beard Family Cabin in Boardman Township Park in celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Jack G. and Claudine Bridges of Boardman. The couple renewed their vows at St. James Meeting House in the park prior to the reception. Another reception was held March 15 in Tampa, Fla., in recognition of the event.
Arrangements for the festivities were made by the couple's daughter, Gail Pastoria of Boardman, and assisting were their other children and their spouses, Cynthia and Robert Dunham III of Hanover, Md.; William and Peggy Bridges of Knoxville, Tenn; Anthony and Lyn Bridges of Akron; and John Bridges of Cuyahoga Heights. The couple's six grandchildren also participated.
The couple were married March 20, 1953, in Tampa. They spent over 33 years in the Akron area before moving to Boardman.
Mr. Bridges is a retired minister and pastoral counselor affiliated with the Church of God. His wife was a nurse at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital prior to retiring.
The couple are members of Faith Fellowship Church of God in Struthers.
