McGraw in hospital; no details released
CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) -- Former pitcher Tug McGraw was hospitalized Thursday for tests and Philadelphia Phillies manager Larry Bowa said the team was praying for him.
The Phillies declined to release any information about McGraw's condition.
The 58-year-old McGraw, who helped the New York Mets and Phillies win World Series titles, has been a special spring training instructor for Philadelphia the last two years.
His son, country music star Tim McGraw, performed at a concert Thursday night in Orlando, Fla., about a two-hour drive from Clearwater. The show started about a half-hour late.
