Business programtaking applications
YOUNGSTOWN -- Ohio Business Week Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free-enterprise education for high school students, is now accepting applications for its summer 2003 program.
Each student accepted to the program is awarded a $400 scholarship provided by a local business or service organization.
Founded in 1988, the program pairs executives from Ohio companies with students interested in learning more about business and the free enterprise system.
Participants form student companies, complete a computer-based business simulation model, elect officers, produce business, financial and marketing plans and develop radio and magazine ads.
Ohio Business Week 2003 will be July 13-19 at The University of Findlay and July 27-Aug. 2 at Youngstown State University. Scholarship information and student applications are available at www.ohiobusinessweek.org, or by calling (888) 377-7414. Application deadline is April 30.
