Game notes: The Penguins finished regular season play with three straight losses. They lost to Illinois-Chicago in the season final last Saturday, 75-69. YSU's last victory was an 80-74 overtime win against Butler in Indianapolis, which snapped a 10-game road losing streak. Sophomore Jen Perugini has four straight double-doubles and has eight this season. Tonight's game is the play-in game for the Horizon League tournament between the No. 8 (YSU) and No. 9 (Butler) seeds. The winner gets to play top-seeded and No. 22-ranked UW-Green Bay on Thursday on the Phoenix home floor. Butler has lost four straight coming into tonight's game.
Series: The Penguins have never lost to the Bulldogs in four previous meetings. The Penguins have beaten Butler twice this season, 72-69 at YSU and 80-74 in overtime at Butler.
