UNCASVILLE, Conn. -- Tamika Catchings scored 25 points, including the go-ahead basket in the second overtime, as Indiana held off Connecticut. Catchings also paced the Fever (6-5) with 16 rebounds and scored seven of Indiana's 14 points in the second overtime. Her driving layup with 33.9 seconds remaining broke an 88-88 tie. Four free throws from Stephanie White and Kristen Reserve Coretta Brown added 26 points for Indiana. Katie Douglas led Connecticut (6-6) with 25 points. Shannon Johnson scored 24 points for the Sun, and Taj McWilliams-Franklin added 20 points and eight rebounds.
Sparks 67, Silver Stars 58
SAN ANTONIO -- Tamecka Dixon scored 13 of her 19 points in the second half as Los Angeles rallied to defeat San Antonio. The Silver Stars (5-8) led by as many as 22 points in the first half, but the Sparks (12-2) outscored them 43-17 in the final 20 minutes. San Antonio made only six of 36 shots in the second half after going 11-for-24 in the first 20 minutes. DeLisha Milton added 14 points and 13 rebounds for Los Angeles. Lisa Leslie, who sat out most of the first half with foul trouble, finished with nine points.
