YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Italian Heritage Foundation is accepting applications for the $500 Centofanti Scholarship, which will be given to a student planning to attend Youngstown State University.
Applicants must submit a biography describing their high school experience and an essay explaining why they should receive the scholarship.
Deadline is Friday. Mail to Flora DiRenzo Schneider, 110 Longview Circle, North Lima 44452.
The award presentation will be at the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest opening ceremonies July 17.
Meeting rescheduled
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission meeting has been rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. July 11 in the Mahoning County Annex, 2801 Market St.
