Campbell Black 7, Poland Tangiers 6 -- Phil Farmintino pitched seven innings for the win. Eligio Bonilla and Aaron Soares had a double each to lead Campbell. For Poland, Kevin Gull went 3-for-3 and scored three runs. Marc Anthony added two hits, including a double.
Struthers Gridiron 16, Poland Campbell Electric 11 -- Jim Ritter, Mike Vitucci and Arron Young gave up 10 runs in two innings before settling down, allowing only four hits the rest of the way. Mike Barone went 4-for-5 with a double, while Matt Wilson added three singles and Ryan Stanko and Young each had a pair of singles. Randall Veccchio hit a home run and Ben Habuda hit a grand slam. Bob Larubio singled and homered, Matt Zentko doubled and singled, Nick Lovell doubled and Rich Hanna had a pair of doubles for Poland.
Tri-T Colt
Columbiana Sports Scene 9, Niles National City -- Corey Channell and Jared Patton combined to throw a three-hitter. David Vitko went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Drew Wagner drove in five runs.
Babe Ruth (14-15s)
Rondinelli Tuxedo 7, Livi Steel 5 -- Jessie Moses went 3-for-3 with two doubles and the go-ahead RBI in the sixth inning. Matt Bable and Corey Collins combined for 11 strikeouts with Bable getting the win. Scooter Hargate had two hits for Livi.
Howland 4, Belleria Pizza 3 -- Eric Pirtz had two hits, including a triple, and TJ Stoian tripled and Josh Swipas doubled. Ryan Miller pitched the final four innings for the win.
Line Drive 4, Commercial Neon 0 -- Richie O'Brien went the distance, pitching a five-hit shutout. DJ Ronci went 2-for-2 with a double.
Line Drive 5, Central Optical 1 -- Ryan Satterlee went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while Joe Koch went 2-for-3. Craig Schmidt a pitched a five-hit complete game.
Howland 15, Belleria Pizza 8 -- Jeff Musick and Tony Pozega had four hits each, with Musick hitting two doubles. Belleria was led by John Mrosko and Mike Kampfer with two hits each.
Line Drive 13, Astros 2 -- David Patrick went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer. Patrick also got the win, pitching four shutout innings.
SOFTBALL
Tri-T Pony (13-14)
Canfield York Mahoning 5, Canfield Robert Senn Photography 4 -- Lauren Sulick and Carla Blinsky combined for the pitching win. Sulick scored twice while Blinsky, Megan Tomaino and Amanda Moliterno scored once. For Senn, Tricia Bettura tripled and doubled, and scored twice. Jackie Nentwick and Kristen Stahl also had hits and scored runs.
