UIt was incorrectly reported in an article Thursday about the bribery trial of Richard E. Detore that Monday marks the one-year anniversary of former U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant Jr. starting his federal prison sentence. That anniversary is July 30.
UPolice Chief Gordon Ellis of Austintown Township said police don't spend $285,000 on just training, bullets and rubber gloves as stated in a glance box that accompanied a June 19 story. That figure also includes these items: use of state computer system; pay for server for cruiser computers; service for radios; cleaning; computer and computerized recorder maintenance; cell phones; cellular connection fee for cruisers in laptops; computer equipment or cameras; physical exams, K-9 expenses; drug and psychiatric testing; towing; bullets; and rubber gloves. Incorrect information was provided to the newspaper.
UGloria Jean and Friends will perform in an outdoor concert at 7 p.m. Monday on Village Green in Canfield. The wrong date was published Thursday in the Entertainment Extra section.
