The average total pay per officer by rank for 2002. Trustees aren't sure how much revenue they will have for police until they receive tax payments this fall. The average police pay figures do not factor into the wages of Lt. Dave Allen, who served as director of the Mahoning Valley Drug Task Force, or Sgt. Tom Baker, who retired midyear. Patrol officer Kathy Dina also received $141,646 in back pay as a result of a lawsuit last year that was not factored into the pay figures.
