Vets must remove flags
YOUNGSTOWN -- Veterans groups are asked to remove grave flags at Calvary Cemetery, Mahoning and Belle Vista Avenues; and Resurrection Cemetery, 300 Raccoon Road; by July 12, said Jim McGinnis, grave decoration chairman for the Mahoning County United Veterans Council.
New school open house
McDONALD -- The public can view the new Roosevelt Elementary School as well as renovations to the high school from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
Honor students will be on hand to give directions and answer questions.
Library group meeting
LORDSTOWN -- A recruitment meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. July 7 at the Lordstown branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library to see if there is sufficient community interest to establish a friends of the library group.
