AS TEMPERATURES RISE, MANY TAKE A DIP: Tommy Smith, 16, of Campbell cools off at Borts Pool on Youngstown's West Side. The city's swimming pools have been packed because of the high temperatures Wednesday and Thursday, the parks department said. The pools can hold about 300 people at a time, and some have had to wait until a few swimmers leave to get in, said Joseph McRae, city parks director. North Side pool opened June 10; Borts pool opened June 11.
