NEW YORK-PENN LEAGUE Scrappers shut out Hudson Valley, 7-0

Mahoning Valley is a perfect 4-0 on the road this year.
FISHKILL, N.Y. -- A five-run outburst in the fifth inning helped the Mahoning Valley Scrappers to a 7-0 win over the Hudson Valley Renegades Wednesday.
A sold-out crowd of 4,494 at Dutchess Stadium saw the Scrappers (6-3) remain undefeated on the road (4-0).
The Renegades (5-3) suffered their first home setback of the year after beginning the season 5-0.
Leading 1-0 after four innings, the Scrappers put the New York-Penn League game away in the fifth frame.
The Scrappers rally was punctuated by designated hitter Ryan Mulhern's three-run homer to left. He also singled and scored a run.
Three Scrapper pitchers combined on a four-hitter.
Middle reliever Mike Hernandez (3-0) struck out five in three innings of work.
