Girls do more than sell those cookies

One girl organized a vacation Bible school at her church.
Four local girls have received the Girl Scout Gold Award, Girl Scouting's highest honor.
Less than 4 percent of all girls in Girl Scouting complete the requirements for the Gold Award, which is roughly the equivalent of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting.
The three girls of Troop 630 -- Regina Bresson, Sarah Dahman and Ashley Gaier -- volunteered at Omni Manor Assisted Living in Youngstown. They organized bingo games and participated and assisted in a play at the nursing home. They also facilitated craft events and organized a Valentine's Day Party/Dance.
