YOUNGSTOWN -- The Northside Citizens Coalition will feature a presentation on the findings of the city's Housing Code Enforcement Task Force at its meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the gathering room at the Park Vista Retirement Community.
Presenters will be Maureen O'Neil Farris, task force chairwoman, and Betsy Johnquest, president of the Mahoning Valley Women's Political Caucus.
Home-buyer workshop
YOUNGSTOWN -- A free workshop for first-time home buyers will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Service Agency, 535 Marmion Ave. Topics will include affordability, budgeting, credit and the loan application process. Call (330) 782-5664 to register in advance. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance that satisfies the education requirements of some mortgage programs.
