Boxing card at Cafaro Field is approved

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS -- The Ohio Athletic Commission on Wednesday approved Tuesday's boxing card at Cafaro Field that co-features Kelly Pavlik of Youngstown.
Despite a few glitches, Tom Vacca, the promoter for the under-card, got the card approved.
Billy Lyell, a 19-year-old welterweight from Niles, will be making his professional debut after a 60-fight amateur career (47-13). He will face Christian Nash of Cincinnati, who has a 2-3-2 record with two knockouts.
A lightweight four-rounder has Angel Hernandez (5-0, all knockouts) of Gary, Ind., taking on Wilson Rivera of Minneapolis (2-0, one KO).
A four-round female welterweight bout will have Shadina Pennybaker (7-2-1) of Pittsburgh taking on Mary Jo Sanders (3-0) of Detroit. In a super middleweight six-rounder, Romero Johnson (6-1, 5 KOs) of Cleveland will battle Jose Spearman (20-5-2, 8 KOs) of Columbus.
The 10-round co-features will pit Pavlik (17-0, 16 KOs) against Rico Cason (16-7, 4 KOs) of Lebanon, Tenn., and former World Boxing Association super bantamweight champion Clarence "Bones" Adams (41-6-3, 19 KOs) of Henderson, Ky., against Manuel Sepeda (15-6-2, 5 KOs) of Austin, Texas.
The weigh-ins will be conducted Monday at Buffalo Wild Wings in Eastwood Mall.
