Signing at Barnes & amp; Noble
BOARDMAN -- Ed Rodgers, former Boardman resident, will be signing copies of his novel "Red Sky in the Morning" at Barnes & amp; Noble in The Shops at Boardman Park in Boardman on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. The novel, published by PublishAmerica, explores the consequences of living in a society based on moral relativism, instead of eternal truths.
Documentary projecton mountain-top mining
James Jeffrey Higgins, Hubbard resident and author of the photography books "Images of the Rust Belt" and "On Common Ground," has been commissioned to work with Robert Glenn Ketchum, renowned photographer and environmentalist, on a book project documenting the environmentally unsound practice of mountain-top mining in southern West Virginia.
The authors hope their project eventually will lead Congress to pass legislation banning mountain-top mining.
