SANDY LAKE, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has awarded contracts for two highway paving jobs in Mercer County that began this week.
Sharon Paving and Construction of Sharpsville will be paid $602,902 to resurface U.S. Route 19 from Pa. Route 358 to Sheakleyville.
W.L. Dunn Construction Co. of Cochranton will be paid $410,679 to resurface Pa. Route 965 from U.S. Route 62 to the Venango County line. Both jobs are scheduled to be completed by August.
Land-use plan voteset for July 29 meeting
NORTH LIMA -- Beaver Township trustees will have a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. July 29 at the township administration offices to vote on the adoption of the township's comprehensive land-use plan.
