Television: USA (Thursday-Friday, 4-6 p.m.) and ABC (Saturday-Sunday, 3-6 p.m.).
Last year: Len Mattiace won the second of two 2002 titles, closing with a 64 to overcome a seven-stroke deficit. Tim Petrovic finished second, a stroke back.
Last week: Jonathan Kaye won his first PGA Tour title, beating John Rollins with an eagle on the first hole of a playoff in the water-logged Buick Classic.
Notes: Tiger Woods will return to the tour next week for the Western Open in Lemont, Ill. ... David Toms and two-time winner Nick Price are in the field along with John Daly and area residents Loren Roberts and David Gossett. ... Al Geiberger shot the first 59 in PGA Tour history in his 1977 victory at Colonial Country Club. ... John Cook won in 1996 with a tournament-record 26-under 258 total, shooting 64-62-63-69.

Purse: $1.2 million. Winner's share: $180,000.
Television: The Golf Channel (Friday-Sunday, 1:30-4 p.m., 8:30-10 p.m.).
Last year: Annika Sorenstam won the sixth of her 11 2002 tour titles, holding off Carin Koch, Kate Golden and Juli Inkster by three strokes back.
Last week: Australia's Rachel Teske won consecutive tournaments for the second time in her career, beating Mexico's Lorena Ochoa by four strokes in the Rochester LPGA.
Notes: Sorenstam, seeking her fourth victory of the year, won the 1998 tournament with a record 17-under 196 total. ... Michelle Wie, making her third tour start, won the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links on Sunday, beating former NCAA champion Virada Nirapathpongporn 1-up in Palm Coast, Fla. The 13-year-old star, preparing for her U.S. Women's Open debut next week at Pumpkin Ridge, tied for ninth in the Kraft Nabisco and tied for 33rd in the Chick-fil-A Charity. ... Betsy King won in 2001 at 45, also taking the 1987 and 1995 events.

Purse: $2.6 million. Winner's share: $475,000.
Television: ESPN (Thursday-Friday, 2-6 p.m.) and NBC (Saturday-Sunday, 3-6 p.m.).
Last year: Don Pooley won at Caves Valley in Maryland, holing a 10-foot birdie putt on the fifth hole of a playoff with Tom Watson. Pooley became the first qualifier to win the tournament.
Last week: Doug Tewell won the Farmers Charity Classic, beating Ireland's Eamonn Darcy with a birdie on the third extra hole.
Notes: Hale Irwin, the 1979 U.S. Open winner at Inverness, withdrew Monday because of back spasms. ... Jack Nicklaus made his U.S. Open debut at Inverness in 1957 as a 17-year-old amateur. ... Craig Stadler, making his third senior start, won the 1973 U.S. Amateur at Inverness. ... Roberto De Vicenzo won the inaugural tournament in 1980 at Winged Foot. The age limit was reduced from 55 to 50 the next year, leading to 51-year-old Arnold Palmer's victory at Oakland Hills. ... Former major league pitcher Rick Rhoden qualified for the tournament. ... The 2004 tournament will be played at Bellerive in St. Louis. ... If tied after 72 holes, a three- or four-hole aggregate-score playoff will follow. If still tied, the players will go to sudden death.
