Group will discussOhio author's novel
HOWLAND -- The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library book discussion group will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 19 in the Friends Meeting Room at the Howland branch, 9095 E. Market St.
Reference librarian Laura Bates will lead a discussion of the novel "Sula" by Ohio author Toni Morrison. The novel explores the lifelong friendship of two women. The discussion is a prelude to Morrison's planned Sept. 18 lecture at Youngstown State University.
The book discussion group is open to all who have read the featured book, and reservations are not required. The Howland branch staff has a limited number of copies of "Sula" available for $5. For more information, call (330) 399-8807, Ext. 400.
