GIRARD 4 answer charge in narcotic case



GIRARD -- Three men and a woman appeared Tuesday in municipal court to answer accusations that they tried to illegally obtain a narcotic at a pharmacy.
Appearing on a charge of deception to obtain dangerous drugs were Michelle Dzurilla, 31, Ravenwood Avenue, Warren; Brian R. Crank, 24, Sheridan Avenue, Niles; Scott Wheeland, 27, Stanton Avenue, Niles; and Jimmy A. Miller, 26, Lafayette Avenue, Niles.
According to the police report, a woman called Brine Pharmacy on North State Street on Monday, saying she was calling for a physician. The prescription was for 180 tablets of Vicoden, a painkiller.
The pharmacy notified police.
Police say a car driven by Dzurilla pulled up to the pharmacy with three male passengers and Crank got out and went into the pharmacy but was denied the prescription.
Officers stopped the car at State Street and Church Hill Road.
Dzurilla and Miller were released on $2,500 bond each. Crank and Wheeland are in the Trumbull County jail.
