Hubbard man faces drug charges in Struthers

STRUTHERS -- Robert Lee Townsend, 19, of Hubbard, will be tried in municipal court here July 18 on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, drug abuse and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Townsend during a traffic stop early Monday.
Police reports say an officer spotted Townsend's black Chevrolet Cavalier weaving between the center line and the right side of the road as he traveled along Midlothian about 1:15 a.m.
Townsend told police that he was weaving because he was tired and that he even debated if he should drive, reports say.
Police say that Townsend hesitantly gave them permission to search his car and that they charged him after finding a knife and a silver and black pipe filled with suspected marijuana inside a hidden compartment under the plastic gear-shift cover.
