Online artist registry helps art lovers, too
Artists and art lovers have equal access to the newly updated Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry by Ohio Arts Council and Columbus Metropolitan Library. More than 5,000 images of works by about 600 artists are in the registry, which can be viewed for free at www.ohioonlinearts.org.
The registry also is a database for Ohio Percent for Art, a program that requires 1 percent of budgets be spent on art acquisition for public building construction or renovation projects that receive more than $4 million in state funds.
Artists who want to be included on the Web site may call (614) 466-2613 to receive registration forms.
