NILES -- The Ohio Browns Boosters will play host to Kevin Mack, the former Cleveland Browns running back, tonight at 9 at the Kahunaville in the Eastwood Mall, announced Jeff Joseph, president of the organization. Admission and autographs will be for free.
McKinley-Chicase lead
CANFIELD -- Charlesetta McKinley and Andy Chicase continue to lead the 31st Mar-Hill Mixed Doubles Bowling Tournament at Amron Lanes.
McKinley-Chicase are first with 1,389, followed by Linda Colantone and Lloyd Hays with 1,378. Gloria Smith and Jim Smith are tied with Nancy Hays and Emmanuel Droullis, both with 1,372. Gloria Smith and Dick Curry stand fifth with 1,363.
The event is every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through July 27, with squad times at 7 p.m. and 9:15.

Spittle winsOhio Mid-Amateur
MASSILLON -- Rod Spittle of Hudson shot consecutive 4-under-par 68s to win his third Ohio Mid-Amateur by four strokes Wednesday.
Spittle pulled away thanks to a hole-in-one on the par-3 11th hole that dropped him to 7-under, and he eagled the par-5 No. 12 to go to 9-under.
He finished at 8-under 136 at the 6,650-yard, par-72 Shady Hollow Country Club.
Alan Fadel of Toledo was second at 140. Randy Reifers of Columbus, the reigning Ohio Senior Amateur champ, finished third at 141 after shooting a tournament-low 66 in the second round.
Sizemore hitsAeros to victory
READING, Pa. -- Grady Sizemore had four hits, including an RBI single in the 11th inning, as the Akron Aeros beat the Reading Phillies 4-2 in the Eastern League on Wednesday night.
Joe Inglett snapped a 2-2 tie in the 11th with an RBI single off Ian Harvey. One out later, Sizemore singled to drive in Inglett.
Kaz Tadano (1-0) allowed two hits in three shutout innings. Jake Robbins pitched the 11th for his fifth save.
Harvey (4-1) allowed two runs on three hits in one inning.
The Phillies took a 2-0 lead in the first on solo homers by Garry Maddox II, his fifth, and Jeff Inglin, his eighth.
Sizemore scored in the sixth when Ryan Church hit into a double play and drove in the tying run in the seventh with a base hit.
Barrasso retires
PITTSBURGH -- Goaltender Tom Barrasso retired after playing 19 NHL seasons with six teams, including 12 with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Barrasso, 38, won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992. So he could end his career in Pittsburgh, the Penguins signed him to a contract and then announced his retirement.

RICHMOND, Va. -- Atlantic Coast Conference presidents have asked Virginia Tech to consider joining three other Big East schools in jumping to the ACC as part of its expansion plan, two sources told The Associated Press.
The sources spoke to The AP on the condition they not be identified.
The decision to add Virginia Tech was made during a teleconference of the nine league presidents after it appeared that the original expansion involving Miami, Boston College and Syracuse would not get the required seven votes for approval.
Rice in CWS finale
OMAHA, Neb. -- Justin Ruchti's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning gave Rice a 5-4 victory over defending national champion Texas on Wednesday night, and sent the Owls to the College World Series championship round.
Rice will play either Cal State-Fullerton or Stanford in the best-of-three series starting Saturday.
Wie rallies
PALM COAST, Fla. -- Michelle Wie, the 13-year-old Hawaiian golf prodigy, shot a 1-under-par 71 and was three shots off the lead after the second round of the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship. She was third behind Virada Nirapathpongporn of Thailand.
