DOCTORS
Rebecca Jean Williamson of Salem was awarded a doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, Memphis, Tenn.
She served as treasurer of the Gold Key Society and was selected for inclusion in "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." Dr. Williamson is the daughter of Paul and Janet Williamson of Salem, and a 1998 graduate of John Carroll University.
Christopher Fox, son of Jim and Linda Fox of Poland, received his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Fox, a 1994 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, attended Kent State University, where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in zoology. He will do his residency in general psychiatry at University Hospitals in Cleveland.
LAWYERS
Mark Jon Miller, a 1996 Boardman High School graduate, recently received his juris doctorate from Capital University Law School in Columbus, where he graduated with highest honors.
While at Capital, Miller was an associate editor of his school's Law Review and a teaching assistant for legal writing and research.
He was awarded a Presidential Merit scholarship for outstanding academic performance and was also the recipient of awards in the study of torts, civil procedure: jurisdiction, constitutional law, evidence and employment discrimination.
Miller graduated with highest honors from Muskinghum College in New Concord, Ohio, in 2000 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and public affairs.
Miller is currently employed by Shaw, Zolman & amp; Associates in Columbus. His parents are Wayne and Karyn Miller of Boardman.
Aleshia Politsky, daughter of Amy and David Politsky of Warren, recently was sworn in as a new attorney by the justices of the Ohio Supreme Court after passing the Ohio bar exam.
Atty. Politsky received a juris doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and maintains a private practice in Cincinnati.
