Workers' comp office in Warren renews lease

WARREN -- The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation has a new lease for its office space in Warren.
The Ohio Controlling Board in Columbus approved a two-year lease renewal Monday with Gibson Real Estate Management of Warren.
The state will lease the property at 258-264 E. Market St. for $517,968 for fiscal year 2004 and $517,968 for fiscal year 2005.
The bureau has announced plans to close its Warren office and consolidate it with the office in downtown Youngstown by July 2004.
An addition is being built on the Voinovich Center in Youngstown to accommodate the BWC. A spokesman for the state Department of Administrative Services said state leases include a cancellation clause. Leases may be canceled by the state without cause with 30, 60 or 90 days notice.
The controlling board also approved an $84,000.00 contract with William F. Emlich, Jr. of Delaware, for the 2004 fiscal year, which begins July 1. Emlich will provide gastroenterology services at the state penitentiary in Youngstown.
