Alba House to closeat Eastwood Mall
NILES -- The Society of St. Paul said it is closing its Alba House Communications store in the Eastwood Mall after operating there for 31 years. The last day of sales will be Saturday.
The society recently announced the closing of its store in Southern Park Mall in Boardman.
The Eastwood Mall store will relocate to St. Paul Monastery in Canfield, where the society has been selling items.
A society announcement, like the one about the closing in Boardman, gave no reason for the closing at Eastwood Mall. A society spokesman, the Rev. Jeffrey Mickler, could not be reached to comment.
Alba House in Canfield is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Hatch has an ideaon music downloads
WASHINGTON -- Illegally download copyright music from the Internet once, or even twice, and you get a warning. Do it a third time, and your computer gets destroyed.
That's the suggestion made by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee at a Tuesday hearing on copyright abuse, reflecting a growing frustration in Congress over failure of the technology and entertainment industries to protect copyrights.
Legal experts suggested the remarks were intended to compel technology and music executives to work faster toward ways to protect copyrights online than to signal forthcoming legislation.
Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont, the committee's senior Democrat, called Hatch's suggestion too drastic.
