Police seek man who fired gun, stole purse
AUSTINTOWN -- Police are looking for a man who fired a gun at two women Friday night on Forest Hill Drive. The man also stole a purse from one of the women, reports state.
Police said the man is thin, black, in his mid-20s, and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. His hair is short on the sides and back, but he has a 4-inch-tall afro on top. Police asked anyone with information about the man to call them.
The women told police that the man got out of a car parked on Forest Hill Drive and asked them for directions while they were talking in the driveway of one of the women's homes around 9:45 p.m. He then pulled out a handgun and told one of the women to give him her purse.
When the woman said she didn't have a purse, the man fired a shot between the two women. A spent round was later found in the area by police.
The man then demanded a purse from the second woman and threatened to shoot her. The woman told police she took her purse out of the trunk of her car and gave it to the man.
The man then got back in his car and drove south on Forest Hill Drive.
