BEAVER, Pa. -- A 41-year-old Lisbon man was electrocuted at 1:40 p.m. Friday while servicing equipment at the Mountain Spring Coal Co. in Greene Township, Beaver County, about 35 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. Christopher St. Clair was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy county coroner, and his death appears to have been accidental, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Death in 7-vehicle pileup
HOWLAND -- David S. George, 31, of Newton Falls died Saturday afternoon after a seven-vehicle pileup on state Route 82 eastbound, west of state Route 46, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Warren post. George was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where he died. The patrol said a line of traffic was stopped at 12:23 p.m. in the right lane to exit onto state Route 46 when an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by Roberto Duebelt of Girard ran into the line of traffic. Duebelt's rig struck six vehicles and ruptured its fuel tank. Duebelt, 46, told troopers that he fell asleep. Eleven people were injured as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation. The names of the victims were not made available Saturday night.
Man charged in girl's rape
YOUNGSTOWN -- Robert Green III, 24, of East Philadelphia Avenue turned himself in to police late Friday night, telling them he had sex with a 12-year-old girl, police said. Police arrested Green on a rape charge and booked him into the Mahoning County jail.
The girl, who was taken by her mother to St. Elizabeth Health Center for a rape exam, told police Green placed her on top of a dryer in the basement of his house, raped her, then told her not to tell anyone. Green said the girl asked him to have sex with her and handed him a condom, reports show.
Woman faces theft charge
YOUNGSTOWN -- The manager at Sav-A-Lot on South Avenue said a woman, later identified as Angela M. Cascarelli of Bedford Road, asked for empty boxes Saturday morning, then concealed $6 worth of magnets in them. The manager confronted Cascarelli and called police. Cascarelli, a 35-year-old nurse, was issued a theft citation and told to appear in municipal court Monday.
