TCTC course focuseson retirement planning
LORDSTOWN -- The Trumbull Career & amp; Technical Center is offering a course called "Designing Your Life in Retirement: A Guide to Planning Your Future" from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Union at Erie plantstages four-hour walkout
ERIE, Pa. -- Union workers at GE Transportation Systems' plant near Erie went on a four-hour walkout Friday morning as their contract with the company was set to expire midnight Sunday.
About 3,000 members of the United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers of America Local 506 walked off the job for four hours, beginning with the shift that began at 3 a.m. Friday.
Other walkouts were planned for later shifts.
Union leaders and representatives from General Electric Co. were meeting in New York City to work on a new contract.
The two sides remain at odds over health insurance costs and other issues.
