Zembas honored at surprise party for anniversary

XBOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zemba, 7637 W. Parkside Drive, were honored by friends and family at a surprise dinner party at T.J.'s at the Holiday Inn on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and daughter-in-law, Patricia Perruzzi of Poland and James and Pamela Zemba of Cuyahoga Falls. Four grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Zemba and the former Mary Jane Hoover were married June 12, 1953, at Indianola United Methodist Church in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and is retired from the Youngstown City School District, where he worked as a coach, principal and assistant principal.
His wife is retired from Westwood Rehabilitation, where she was an administrator.
The Zembas are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
