Team led by Carrie Woods wins the Pro-Am



The event was expanded to two shotgun starts with 37 teams taking part.

VIENNA -- LPGA professional Carrie Woods helped her team to the top spot in the Home Savings Pro-Am Tournament Monday at Squaw Creek Country Club.
The event, which kicked off the competition for the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic week, was expanded this year to two shotgun starts with 37 teams taking part.
Woods' team consisted of Rodney Staats, Woody Woodward, Don Jensen and Dan Bates and the team had the low gross score of 60, 12-under-par and also the low net score of 56.4.
According to the tournament rules a team can win only one prize, so the Woods' team took the low gross honors.
Finishing second, in the net division, but getting the first place prizes, was the team headed by LPGA pro Eva Dahloff with a score of 57.7. Her team included Doug McKay, Steve Beal, Pat Bevack and Dave Lodge.
Prize winners
The top six low net teams were prize winners along with the top low gross team and also the top low net all-women team.
The low net all-women team was led by LPGA pro Marilyn Lovander with a score of 60.6. Her team included Linda Muckleroy, Nichole Blazek, Mary Beth Popovec and Donna Lorenzi.
The other prize winners in low net division included the team of LPGA pro Anna Acker-Macosko, Ken Gongola, Vince Gongola, George Scina and Jim Crago with a score of 57.8,
Third place went to the team of LPGA pro Clarissa Childs, Bob Koger, Keith McGinnia, Steve Johnson and Dennis Stewart with a score of 58.4
Finishing fourth with a score of 58.7 was the team of LPGA pro Mitzi Edge, Rick Gray, John Saunders, Mike Kruggle and Keith Kaiser, while fifth with a score of 58.8 was the team of LPGA pro Marnie McGuire, Dan Kelly, Mark McCloud, George Hathaway and Rick Siegel.
The final prize-winning team in sixth place was the team of LPGA pro Julie Piers, Mike Miller, Frank Kowalczyk, Jeff Janisse and Mike Barth.
