Satterfields are honored on anniversary



XAUSTINTOWN -- Friends and relatives attended a reception held June 14 at Lucianno's Restaurant in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Satterfield, 181 N. Yorkshire Blvd., who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were their son and his wife, Thomas and Martha Satterfield of Pinson, Ala., and their daughter, Gaye Tyharsky of Mineral Ridge. The family includes four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The former Lou Ann Smith and Mr. Satterfield were married June 13, 1953, at the First Presbyterian Church in Wheeling, W.Va. They are members of Austintown Baptist Church and the Woodcarvers Club.
Mrs. Satterfield, a homemaker, is a member of the Christian Women's Association and the Mended Hearts Association.
Mr. Satterfield served with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division from 1952 to 1954 at Fort Campbell, Ky. He retired in 1995 as a inspector in quality control at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown. He is a member of a bowling team.
