Youth Force Club joinsjob shadowing project
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning & amp; Columbiana Training Association has started its annual job shadowing project. Members of the Youth Force Club, who are juniors in Youngstown schools, contact local businesses to gather information on careers and ask to shadow an employee for a day.

Former teacher, athleteopens advertising agency
BOARDMAN -- Herb Lake, a former area athlete and teacher in the Youngstown schools, has started Lake & amp; Associates Advertising. The agency offers help with billboards, direct mail and print, radio and television advertisements. Lake has a bachelor's degree in communications and rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh, where he played basketball. The Chaney graduate also ran Jumpball Scouting Services for six years and taught at Williamson and Bennett elementary schools in Youngstown.
Staples store in Nilesschedules business expo
NILES -- Staples will hold a small business expo at its store at 6004 Youngstown-Warren Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 26. Area business representatives will be at the store to provide information, solutions and savings to other business owners and potential customers.
