Questions, questions and more questions about Ryan, tax cuts, the rich, the poor

EDITOR:
A recent article regarding U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan and his opinion that the tax-cut plan is unfair and other letters to the editor slamming the rich have me asking a lot of questions:
1. Why does he state that those making $1 million or more will average a $93,000 tax cut and neglect to add that those making $1 million paid $386,000 in federal income tax and those making $10,000 pay little or no federal income tax? In addition, I ask why didn't he use $1 million as his income number, so that those who can do math can figure that a 3.6 percent cut equals a $36,000 cut, not $93,000 based on a nebulous average? So a "rich" person pays $350,000 or more per year in federal taxes and a "poor" person pays nothing. Now that doesn't seem fair.
2. What is "rich'? Someone who went to school and learned the three R's, went to college and took the right courses to succeed, a person who worked hard, saved and invested, a person who takes the chance and starts their own business and succeeds, a doctor who spent much of his life getting educated and is on call 24/7? These are the people you want to penalize?
3. What is "poor"? How many of you know low-income people having cell phones, pagers, Internet access, cable TV, cigarettes, tattoos, and more of life's non-necessities? Why are they poor? Didn't want to go to school, lazy, made too many wrong choices, can't hold a job long enough to advance, choosing drugs and alcohol?
4. Who needs our help? In my opinion only the elderly, regardless of why they're poor. The elderly would have a hard time turning their lives around and deserve a better life as living comes closer to the end. Most everyone else has time to turn his or her life around.
5. Why do people allow Democrats to brainwash them into thinking that they are hopelessly left behind unless Democrats are there to help the helpless? If you sincerely want to help the needy, teach children and young adults that there's no shame in being rich and that they are very capable to become rich. Too many people accept being portrayed as victims with no way out. Remember this: Democrats depend on this attitude to keep you needing them, thus one endless circle.
6. Don't we all know people who truly don't want to work? Why should the rich or anybody pay them to stay home or roam the streets? If anything, the rich person's money should go to subsidizing those going to and graduating on time from a trade school.
7. Why would a writer to the editor a few months ago call "rich" people "fat cats"? These "fat cats" are the people we're trying to get to bring their businesses to our area, so these "fat cats" can provide jobs and pay taxes. Any wonder why this area is 149 out of 150?
8. So do you, the poor and capable, really want to keep receiving aid? If so, move in with Rep. Ryan. With his income, he's rich.
9. So can anyone without letting their ideology interfere answer honestly my questions?
