XLAHAINA, Hawaii -- The wedding of Katie Shannon and Joseph Bestic took place at 5 p.m. May 13 at the Hyatt Regency Maui.
Parents of the couple are Dr. Michael and Linda Shannon, 2860 Dresden Road, Zanesville, and Dr. Michael and Pamela Bestic, 1845 E. 11th St., Salem.
The bride wore a strapless, beaded, A-line gown.
Her sister, Kristen Shannon of Zanesville, was maid of honor.
Jake Bestic of Columbus, the groom's brother, performed the duties of best man.
Mrs. Bestic graduated from Miami University in Oxford with a bachelor's degree in dietetics.
Her husband is a summa cum laude graduate of Washington & amp; Lee University in Lexington, Va., and earned his medical degree at Ohio State University College of Medicine.
The couple are living in Columbus, where the groom is an intern at Riverside Methodist Hospital. They will relocate next year to Jacksonville, Fla., where he will be a resident in diagnostic radiology at the Mayo Clinic.
